Interestingly, English Wikipedia considers crêpes to be a kind of pancake while it is the other way around with French Wikipedia. A pancake doesn't have to be like the things Americans stereotypically have for breakfast. The word can have a broader meaning. Nonetheless I added quotation marks in the clue.
