Hint
Answer
This movie was the breakthrough for the steadicam (used in the Labyrinth Scene).
The Shining
When shooting the last scene, Kubrick met his later wife, who acted in it.
Paths of Glory
There was one scene which they wanted to shoot in a room only lit by candles. Cameras actually developed for the NASA had to be used.
Barry Lyndon
The leading actor publicly announced that Donald Trumbo, one of the "Hollywood Ten", had written the script. This virtually ended the blacklisting that had begun in the McCarthy era.
Spartacus
To appease the censors, the age of the title character had to be altered from 12 to 14 years.
Lolita
The actors' masks looked so real that many thought that well-trained apes starred in this film.
2001: A Space Odyssey
An orthodox mass song is played backwards at one time; this is one of the reasons that this film is said to be "satanic".
Eyes Wide Shut
Vincent D'Onofrio entered the Guinness Book of Records for gaining 30 kg (70 pounds) for his role.
Full Metal Jacket
There is only one woman playing a role throughout the movie.

Great quiz camus. Re: the age increase... didn't something similar happen with A Clockwork Orange? Alex DeLarge was alot younger in the book than he was in the film.

Thank you! Wikipedia says Alex is 15 years old in the novel, so given the fact that Malcolm McDowell was 26 when playing it there must be a difference of at least a few years. However, in the movie he still goes to school (or rather, skips it), so he must be up to 19 or so. Anyway, I hope no one would mix up the "age" question with Lolita, because in the film Alex is obiously older than 14. ;)

I believe the entire movie (Barry Lyndon that is) was shot in natural lighting, not just one scene, also several scenes were shot in candle light, but you're right about the NASA camera, its kinda part of the conspiracy about the fake moon landings that Kubrick supposedly filmed.

They did use electric lighting, but only to mimic or supplement natural light sources e.g. coming in through the windows. They didn't use standard "fake" lighting tricks like fill lights and rim lights for the characters that wouldn't have been there in reality.
