Alexander von Humboldt was also the first person to suggest that there is a human-induced climate change. His older brother Wilhelm was a fellow polymath. He reformed the Prussian school system and made it an international benchmark whose educational ideal was to shape students’ personalities into mature and sophisticated adults.
