Strictly speaking, no islands are ON the European continent, but many (including Iceland) are considered part of Europe as A continent.

It's usually considered to be in the European Continent, while some might say that its not entirely in the European Continent, because it is located on the Mid-Atlantic Ridge.

As a Swede im offended. The total length of our coast is 48000 km if islands are counted. But i guess its hard to obtain exact measurements for all countries.

there is no way italy has less than greece, spain isnt here, and russia isnt #1. European part of russia isnt russia, european countries has russia so it should count all of russia.

Isn't measuring and comparing the sizes of coastlines practically impossible because of the coastline paradox? Because even if you use the same units (10m, 100m, 1km, etc), there are some bits that will inevitably be missed, like small coasts
