Good quiz, but "desert, mountains, ocean" is the best you could do for California? Really?

Also, people don't associate Reagan much with Illinois even though he was born there. I'd swap Reagan for Lincoln. (even though he was born in Kentucky, but that's another story.

Agree with the Reagan comment as well as the clues for California. I would add that the badlands are more associated with South Dakota than North Dakota, given the presence of the 243,000-acre Badlands National Park in South Dakota. Also, the Sioux lived throughout several Great Plains states.
