Wow...i did terribly. I love the classic religious Christmas Carols, but since they never get air play over the stupid pop Christmas songs, i don't hear them enough to absorb the lyrics. I know all of the friggin words to "Last Christmas i Gave you my Heart" and "All i Want for Christmas is You." Even though they SUUUUUUUUCK!
Nice! I did decently. I would suggest either counting "looked" and "down" as separate answers, or making only one of them missing. I tried each of them multiple times but never together.
I've never heard this carol/song either. As one of the answers is 'plain' I'm guessing it probably is known more in the US. Know all the others though.
According to Wikipedia, it is of French origin and the most common English version was translated to English in 1862 by a Roman Catholic bishop in northeast England. It quickly became popular in the West Country of England. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angels_We_Have_Heard_on_High
there are two versions of away in a manger however the differences is the tune, the traditional lyrics are "the stars in the bright sky looked down where he lay" anything else just sounds wrong to me
Powerful lyrics. Good King Wenceslas was a favorite Christmastime melody for me growing up, but it became a favorite carol as I got older and understood the meaning.
I only knew 4 (holy, bethlehem, adore and excelsis and had to look up the correct spelling for that one) I got 11 right though. The others just by using comon sense and seeing what would work in that sentence.
