I am from the UK and got 67. The most obvious ones that I missed were Buffalo, St Louis, Reno, Baton Rouge, Newark and Lincoln.
The least obvious ones I got were Garland, Gilbert, Aurora, Greensboro, Fort Wayne, Norfolk, San Bernadino, North Las Vegas, Bakersfield and you get the jist.
Agreed. I assumed it must be Grand Island, NE, given the location, but couldn't remember the name and was fairly certain there was no way it was large enough (it isn't, by a factor of more than 4).
Aurora CO is the correct answer (not Nebraska or Illinois). Aurora Nebraska is tiny and Aurora IL is too small for this list. Glendale is the same story. Glendale AZ is larger than Glendale CA.
nice quiz, managed to guess them all after few tries and memorising Dallas and Phoenix metros (tip: Dallas - DIG FAP :D Phoenix - PCS GM)
Few mistakes should be corrected as some other people pointed out:
- Glendale should be pointing to the one in Phoenix metro, not the one in LA metro which is used (it's circa 20% less populous and just a bit short of top 100 list),
- Aurora should be pointing to the one in Denver metro, the one from Nebraska is tiny (the one from Illinois is also too small, even at 200k)
95/100. Trying to figure what big city in Nebraska I was missing. Dot needs to be moved over a state. Probably still wouldn't have guessed it. Missed two near Dallas, one in Los Angeles area and one in Virginia because I didn't see the dot.
A few corrections: please accept DC as a type-in for Washingtno D.C. . Aurora, Nebraska, is far from being one of the most populous cities in the US. You probably confused it with Aurora Springs, CO, or Aurora, IL
reless - if you collab this quiz with me (go to step 1 of the quiz editor, go to the bottom right, and click 'Collaborate'), I will be happy to fix both the map and the data for you to reflect new 2021 data. :)
Here we go with the San Juan argument. When Puerto Rico becomes an actual state, it will then be included with these quizzes. The benefits of becoming a state is votes, and inclusion in Jetpunk. 2 birds with one stone.
