Israel nixed English as an official language a long time ago. It was one of the first things they did after the British left in '48. And I don't see how it could be a de facto official language as pretty much all official business is done in one or both of the two official languages which are Hebrew and Arabic.

The US also doesn't have an official language but I can see English being called the de facto official language there. I got that one but thought of Israel, knew it was wrong, and didn't guess it. Other than that just missed a few in Africa, Malta, and forgot Micronesia.

"De facto" language is always a bit iffy because its based on opinion - when does "widely spoken" become "de facto"? It's a grey area. I suggest either keeping it to official languages, or somehow flagging the answers that are not official so quizzers will know which is which.

In case that this quiz only recognize official language, Malaysia only have one official language--Malaysian language. English is widely use for official purpose but it definitely is NOT an official language

Um what?

Neither Eritrea, Brunei, nor Malaysia have English as an official language in any capacity.

Additionally neither US nor Australia have any official language.

Please correct.

I think it needs more time, atleast a minute maybe more. You dont have time to think about the ones you might not know. It shouldnt be a typing contest
