Good little quiz, I was surprised that the Danube passes through 10 countries on its way to the black sea!

You may want to clarify that it includes countries that are bordered by the Danube as well as those that it "passes through". By my count, there are 5 countries in that category on the list.

There is a country on the list the Danube river does not pass through: Moldova.

@Chunkydonkey it doesn't pass through but at the southernmost point of Moldova they have 500 meters of the Danube which is pretty crucial for Moldova because they have a port there.

Can you either put them in alphabetical order, or tell quiz-takers that they're not in alphabetical order? The default convention on JP seems to be to put them in alphabetical order, so I'm guessing I'm not the only one who was led astray expecting that.

They are only listed alphabetically when there's not a clearly better system to list them. I this case, it's the order the river crosses them.

Shouldn't then Romania be before Bulgaria, Ukraine and Moldova?

I'm barely even a genius, and I was able to tell that they weren't in alphabetical order by the time I had seven or eight answers filled in.

According to danube.travel it is 480 meters, but in any case it is the shortest of any of the countries on this list by far.

The countries are in the order the Danube is flowing through, except that Romania should come before Moldova and Ukraine. Otherwise it would be correct.
