Yes do credit Jerry, he certainly deserves it ;)
Actually now that I think about it I suggest (to both of you, as a coproduction?) to do a similar one on seas/oceans, assuming Jerry's done enough closer to sea quizzes already
You should definitely clarify that. Or, like I prefer, add the overseas territories to the quiz. For example, Cyprus is closer to the British bases on the island than any other country. I'm pretty sure British and French territories are near some of the other countries as well.
Great quiz! Though I double-checked your distance between Australia and Papua New Guinea, which seemed much too small to me. And indeed it is: Google Maps tells me that the island of Saibai in the Torres Strait (part of Queensland) lies about 2.32 miles off the shore of New Guinea, instead of the 53 miles that the quiz has.
Wait a sec.... How did you get those columns with different headings? I've looked all over the quiz making page, but I cannot find it! Great quiz, though!
I'm sure you already know this, but you go to manual settings and click "Add Outer Box". You can import answers into the box rows and change the heading. That's probably what relessness did.
Just goes to show how much maps are skewed. I was sure Vanuatu was closer to Aus than NZ was, it's 1742 km away. But because New Zealand is so much further south, the NZ distance looks more.
What a great quiz! I am very surprised that I got 100%! I really like these random quizzes. It's so creative, I would've never thought of making something like this. :)
You see it in 1 sec on the map, totally clear no question about it, no need to measure. Iran is separated with only a little bit of water (as is pakistan, but a little bit more water). Qatar does compete with somalia, but definitely not with iran or pakistan.
