I didn't get many of these as I've never flown. Looking at the answers though I wouldn't have needed much imagination to get quite a few more!

I would have gotten a lot more of these given how much I travel, but the quiz is pretty EuroCentric and most of my travels are outside of Europe.

LOL... most of the World's major airlines are European. Sorry if that's eurocentric. The great majority of the quizzes here contain questions (baseball, American only tv ads, stuff about small town US etc) that anyone outside of the US couldn't possibly know. Which can be... challenging. So I wouldn't whinge too much. :)

Oz... you're just.... well I'll let ivyhooligan's post speak for itself. I wasn't "whingeing" at all. I don't often fly on US airlines, either, btw. I'm sure I use British Airways more than United.

ivy... interesting stats. I've flown on all of these top airlines except for Air Canada, Lufthansa, and the Chinese ones. I like using Cathay Pacific, though. Excellent airline. Even though I prefer Singapore Airlines because of Changi. and there are so many good discount airlines around Asia (Cebu Pacific, AirAsia, etc etc) it's hard to justify using the full price carriers.

The fact is that US does not have a national flag carrier, though with the number of mergers, it seems to be headed towards one.

The last US flag carrier that I can remember was Pan Am. That was a great airline.

Great quiz! Got them all but for TAP ... so close. When in doubt add "Air" to the name of the country :)

Could you accept "Bloody Awful" for the UK? I know it's not really their name, but that's what all my English friends claim BA stands for...

EI AI should be acceptable for Israel... especially because that's what it says in the answer box, but its not. Only ELAL is... Why? Can you fix this? Thanks.

We old-time jaded travelers a good laugh back in the '80s renaming some of the airlines we flew most often: BWIA and ALM (The Antillean off-shoot of KLM) .

We renamed it BWIA: But Will It Arrive,

and ALM: Altijd Laat Maatschapij. (Always Late Company)

LAN Chile changed its name in 2010 to LATAM Chile after merging with TAM Airlines (as did all the other LANs in the area). Update required.

Should probably update the instructions as well since ITA is technically a new entity, while Alitalia is the "historical" flag carrier.
