Great quiz,
Guessed all the obvious powerhouses... Then sort of those that the UK will know most then those that the USA will know most... got 100%, but probably guessed a good few with no avail!
And it's interesting to see what the Spanish speakers since you have to think how Argentineans, Spanish and Mexicans think and the French, which get more African ones than the probably due to their colonization of Morocco and Algeria, both of which are the most guessed quiz.
It seems most English speakers did not struggle much with Western Europe, but mainly got the countries I would think appear most on American news, (Canada, Mexico, China, Russia). Taking the Spanish version I was surprised to see every Spanish speaking South American country to be included. Very interesting that this quiz reveals the demographics of the people taking it.
Most of the people taking these quizzes are in the USA and UK, I think. They probably start with their own country then start scanning around on the map. Iceland, as an island, stands out and is conveniently located between the two. After I got the really obvious ones it's actually among the first that I guessed.
Other people start in the top left corner of the map as that's how they are trained to read, then start moving around either top-down or left-right. If they go left-right then Iceland is right there next to Canada, and hard to confuse with anything else.
This quiz is harder than the countries of the world quiz because you actually have to think from the point of view of someone who only knows the major countries of the world.
Little surprised DRC and CAR aren't on there. I type them into almost any vaguely plausible quiz because it's quick. Also Iraq and Iran. North and South Korea. I figured country pairs would be there because once you get one you get the other. Still only missed Portugal.
I do the countries of the world quiz area by area. Africa usually comes last because it takes me the longest. So I can understand why neither DRC nor CAR made the list.
Hi ppl of the comment section. I have a question for you all. If you were the leader of a country and you had the power to change the name, what would you change it to? Mine would be Yoyoville. WHATS YOURS?
My brother used to say Afghanipakiraqistan. At work we invented one named after a supervisor: Griscavastan. I'll go with the People's Republic of Blarg.
yea I tried them too and norway denmark. Weird how sweden is more guessed than norway.
(greece cause it is big, western europe ( yes it is) and quite recognisable, would ve thought same % as italy) (netherlands because it is western europe, next to the uk, and one of the most west in europe for those that go left to right),
I'm curious about others' experience with what happened for me. I was on a huge roll: I got 18 right before missing one! My first miss attempted was Cuba. And then.... I got only one more the whole way.
Now let's create quiz-ception. The next quiz should be named
"Name the countries that have been guessed at least 85% of the time on the Most Guessed Countries on JetPunk"
I was thinking what the hell I only have 4 left then as the clock went into the last 10 seconds I remembered - south America. Apologies to the whole continent for forgetting yet!

I guess only new zealand and saudia arabia whould have had a shot out of all the (other) two word countries.
