So, you're saying that the population of Germany will decrease by over 10 million by 2060? Considering the populations around 80 million at the moment. Are you also saying other countries will decrease or increase or are they supposed to be increasing?

Germany's current birth rate per 1000 is 8.0, while it's death rate is 10.4, so every year it loses 189,000 people through natural change. Having said that, recently, it has seen a rise in immigration however long term, it is still predicted to fall by 3% in the next 24 years, and 13 percent in 49 years. The majority of countries in Eastern Europe are expected to fall in population, while Western European countries and Scandinavian countries will see the most growth. Cyprus, Ireland and the UK will see the highest growth. Don't forget they are projections, and they probably won't come true. :)

Okay. Was just wondering considering Germany has like one of the highest population rates AND immigration rates.

Is this in any way different from the current list of 10 most populous countries in the EU? I mean, just in terms of who is on or off the list and not in terms of the actual numbers or placement on the list? Looks like it might be the same list of 10. Pretty much every country in Europe is either losing population, staying stagnant, or growing very slightly.

also, given the time limit, it's pretty easy to just name *every* country in the EU and ace this quiz.

I know this isn't likely to happen, but what if Turkey joined EU? They have a high population, right?

I don't think UK will even make on this list because it is leaving the EU so there's no future for Uk and its population. Just remove UK and when it has joined the EU, put it on again. Anyway, how did you predict that the population will increase or decrease. I mean, what happens if the death rate suddenly went up?
