Cпасибо! This quiz was inspired by a quick side trip into Bulgaria, where this is the alphabet they use (although Bulgarian words are different from Russian). I'm spending tonight in Plovdiv, a really attractive city.

I am Polish and I can't speak Russia but I learned that alphabet and thus making this quiz easy. A lot of those countries are extremely similar in Polish. BTW: Greenland isn't a country, it isn't even a part of Europe. Faroe Islands also ain't a country.

Interesting to hear about the Polish similarity, thanks. Greenland could be assigned to either North America, to which it is physiographically linked, or to Europe, to which it is ethnically, politically and culturally associated; we've chosen the latter. Greenland operates its own policing, judicial system, company, accounting and auditing laws, mineral resource activities, aviation, law of legal capacity, family law and succession law, aliens and border controls, working environment, financial regulation and supervision, has its own flag, national anthem and parliament, and it also operated independently of Denmark by opting to leave the European Union while Denmark remains within it. In other words, it's a country. If you do a bit of research on Faroe Islands and you'll find the same is true for that country as well.

100% although as I speak Russian fluently that shouldn't be a surprise. I hope at some stage Jetpunk will do a Russian language map quiz.
