Yes of course, though note that the Cabo Verdean government has declared that its name is the same in every language. It's a bit like you being introduced to someone called Juan and you insisting calling him John. It's just disrespectful. (And as an aside, why do some English-speakers only go half-way and use one English and one Portuguese word? Cabo Verde or Cape Green are at least unambiguously one language or the other, but using one word of each is as weird as Cabo Green would be).
