Ta! If you found this too easy there's a 4-letter geography generator that ought to be a doddle, but it's only averaging 10 out of 20.

Already tried that one when it came out, and I'm surprised the average is that high! I got the 8-letter word, though.

The issue might be that it takes some of us awhile to notice the all-important yellow box....I know I typed "Main" at least 3 times before I realized.

I have a bit of an issue with the open-endedness of some of these questions. Lots of trees are grown commercially: fruit trees, eucalyptus, cork, rubber.. and whatnot. Same with a subdivision of a country - I guess region is the neutral word, but state, province, kanton.. it all applies.

In case you haven't realised, each CORRECT answer must be able to be produced from the 9 letters in the box to the left. I don't think you can make cork or rubber from those letters!!

I thought that about the commercial trees too. I couldn't get some of them. I tried: state, county, province, and district but no result

None of those use the specified letters, do they?

No but the region clue ís rather vague. It is not necessarily restricted to/anything to do with a country. It is simply an area, it can cross borders, and does not have to have any political connotations, like a wine region or a dry region etc.

Good grief. It's a perfectly valid answer to the question posed. Stop trying to pick holes where there aren't any.

I'm pretty sure you meant "leaning tower", not "learning"...

It's a pun: the University of Pisa is a world-leading university, as well as being over 700 years old.

It might be difficult to commercially grow Aspens.

Subdivision of a country: raion - it's used in some former Soviet countries. Why not accept "pear" or "aspen" as commercially grown trees? Pines aren't as rare in nature you may think. They're quite common in taigas.

OK, pear and raion (my new word for the day) have been added as type-ins. Aspen worked already!

I only know that spelled as rayon.

I don't think that it was ever implied that they don't grow in nature; just that they are commonly grown commercially. Like your other suggestions, though. I've never heard the word raion before. Cool word. :)

Pear is also a fruit that Brazil grows a lot of ... 17000 metric tonnes in 2021.

Although I got one of the other answers for the question, I was perfectly fine with the one that popped up. I was just thinking more Albertson's than Home Depot lol
