I think these word frequency quizzes must have a British English (as opposed to American English) bias. "Rubber" has 5 times as many Google hits as "rubbish" (and 5 times the frequency in the Google n-gram viewer).

The way we've done it, you know exactly how many letters are on each side of the double letters.

good point, with those lines it's not always easy to count
