Note the first sentence of this article, which points out that British Overseas Territories (like Akrotiri and Dhekelia) although being under the jurisdiction of the United Kingdom, are not a part of it.

As far as the Turks are concerned, it is, but no other country recognises it.

Why aren't UK and UN correct answers? They are the entities which control those parts of the islands.

The UN doesn't control the Green Line, they just patrol it as peacekeepers. Re UK, please see our answer to KoljiVriVoda above.
