I'm slightly surprised at the Antarctica answer- does this number count permanent ice sheets (even if they're not on land)? I suspect it must.

Looks like it's the primary ice sheet. From wikipedia: The Antarctic ice sheet covers an area of almost 14 million square kilometres (5.4 million square miles). I don't see anything about ice sheets not on land.

A couple of interesting facts:

Approximately 61 percent of all fresh water on the Earth is held in the Antarctic ice sheet.

In contrast to the melting of the Arctic sea ice, sea ice around Antarctica has been expanding as of 2013.
