Nice quiz, but some of your former and modern names do not tie up. The Sultanate of Zanzibar was a small group of islands off the African coast, which became a colony. That then merged with the much larger colony of Tanganyika to form Tanzania. There is no way that someone would see the two to be the same thing, it is a bit like saying the "Rhode Island" is the former name of the USA.
