A quiz as expansive as this clearly takes a lot of work and there's plenty of potential pitfalls. I respect that, but my goodness did I find this quiz frustrating.
Partly, this is due to the source used. Toronto.ca would seem the perfect source for such a quiz but it does not reflect my lived experience as a Torontonian. I have never seen neighbourhoods such as Riverdale or St. James Town divided into North and South. And where is Korea Town? Old China Town?
Secondly, the quizzer is quite inflexible with regards to acceptable answers. For example, only accepting "Yonge-Eglinton" instead of "Yonge and Eglinton" (or the even more common "Yonge and Eg").
Lastly, "Niagara" is spelled incorrectly (as "Niagra").
I appreciate your feedback but I kept as much as I could to the source purely because I felt a lot of points were debatable based on personal knowledge of various groups in Toronto. I've lived in Toronto my whole life but even I don't know a lot of neighbourhoods. There's no way I could know for sure every common term or socially accepted neighbourhood. I'm happy to include some of your changes though.
Update to let you know I've made the changes so that not entering "North" and "South" (etc) shouldn't cause any problems. I only left them in where they are paired (ie: Cabbagetown-South St. James Town). As for Koreatown, etc., I did some googling and those are considered cultural centres within neighbourhoods (Koreatown being in Willowdale). Therefore, I will stick with the city's official list. Finally, Niagara is spelled properly. You can google it. :)
