Disagree- that would be like accepting "crown" for the Danish krone, Swedish krona or Icelandic krona, or accepting "weight" instead of the many versions of peso that are out there.

I'd have been very ashamed of myself had I not gotten 100%. I think Turku should be added as an answer though. The hint could be: "Oldest city" or "Ex-capital" (well, before independence under the Swedish rule).

How can you have a quiz about Finland and not include Carl Gustaf Emil Mannerheim? Without his leadership in WWII and after the war the Finns would be speaking Russian now. In 2001, fifty years after Mannerheim's death, the Finns voted him greatest Finn of all time. Outlandish, preposterous!

Looking at the map, Espoo seems rather inland to me. Maybe the author considered it more of a suburb of Helsinki? But deffinitely somethingh worth QM to at least consider.
+1
Level 70
Nov 5, 2021
Yeah Espoo is a coastal "city". It's also kinda ridiculous calling it a city considering its "central station" is like the least urban neighborhood in this municipality. It's just a bunch of districts that act as small suburbs in the western Helsinki area. Tampere also has municipalities surrounding it making its urban area bigger than Espoo itself.
