https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Druze The religion is properly Druzism. An adherent is a Druze. Or Druze faith would be accurate. So Druzism should be an acceptable answer.

Maybe accept Hisbollah? Wikipedia gives Hizbullah and Hizballah as alternate transliterations as well.

Baal simply means lord. Not complaint, just an extra piece of information.

That may be the original meaning of the word, but I believe Ba'al mentioned in the Christian Bible came to be associated with more specific gods, including fertility and storm among others.

Nice smear job on Hezbollah there. If you think they're bad, just wait until you hear about their enemy's practices. :O

We didn’t say « bad », we said « terrorist », not the same thing! :)

terrorism is bad. But in the case of Hizbollah both labels are entirely accurate. They're horrible.

Who said he thinks they're 'bad'? The clue states it's considered a terrorist organization by the EU, something which is objectively correct.

Don't take this guy seriously. Every comment he makes here is like Russian state propaganda. (NATO needs to end, all Communist countries are "cool," every American president is a war criminal and should be assassinated) He probably works for Wikileaks or some East European troll farm.

Really, Paris should be the Beirut of Europe. Beirut is one of the oldest cities in the world and has way more history and culture than eiffel tower town

I thought the main Christian denomination is Greek Orthodox, or Syrian Orthodox (Wikipaedia).

Here's a Wikipedia page I found that says it's the Maronites: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lebanese_Maronite_Christians

Really beautiful country. Rich history. Delicious food. Lovely women (gotta throw something out there for the slut-shamers to get excited about).
... unfortunately a very sad political situation. Though not as bad as their neighbors in Syria, of course. But still not good. I'm not one to blame anything and everything on the West or colonialism etc, but it's hard not to think that Sykes and Picot couldn't have done a better job.

For a diverse historical country, you would think the quiz could have included something else other than George Clooney's wife.

That question did seem a bit odd. I mean, Mia Khalifa is a lot more famous than Amal Clooney. and I wouldn't have expected her to show up, either.

Yeah, like, the fact that Keanu Reeves was born in Beirut.

I’m surprised more people knew Amal Clooney than the Maronite Church. Never heard of her, but Maronites is one of the things I always associate with Lebanon.
