Goa was not "returned" by the Portuguese. Indian forces invaded Goa, and forced the Portuguese out after years of diplomatic confrontation. The process was in no way similar to that of Macau. It may be purely about nomenclature I admit, but the term "returned" to be used seems to me to be doubtlessly out of place.

It should be accepted "Fernando Magalhães" also, since it is his original name. The same way João is the portuguese version of John.
