The Battle of Midway occurred near Papua New Guinea, the Solomon Islands or Indonesia -- ie nowhere near the US.

Simon Bolivar was born in Venezuela and started the South American wars of liberation in that country.

The Midway Atoll is an American territory. That's the trick. You are naming the modern day country, not the country of the time. You are right on Simon Bolivar. I will add some answers.
