20 Relatively Closest Non-Bordering Country Pairs by Geographical Center

Can you find the 20 pairs of non-bordering countries that are relatively closest together? Distance is measured between their geographical centers and is then divided by the sum of R1 and R2 which are the radii of circles having the same area as the two countries

I understand how these are calculated, but they are still a very strange collection.

True, they're mostly kind of countries 'somewhat englobed' by another yet not bordering

Its really, really hard to believe that these are correct. So big countries.

Thats because this quiz considers "relative" distance. If you reduce all sizes for example by 50%, the value stays the same
