All Islands on the World Map by Scambigol

On Jetpunk's map of the world, there are 356 unique landmasses or islands. How many can you name? A thick green border indicates an area larger than 25,000 km2; smaller islands with a population of at least 1 million have a blue border.

Type 'UNN' to highlight the few unnamed ones!
Answers are in alphabetical order.

(By the way, 'All Bodies of Water on the World Map' would be a nice sequel to this.)

If a tiny island off the coast of Oman that nobody has heard of is on this quiz, why not Socotra? Also, do you mean Guadaloupe for Basse-Terre (the capital city, not the island)?

Other than that, great quiz.

this is the 'standard' world map here but as you say it misses some important islands and has some insignificant ones. Thanks to some other quiz on this website I realized that Guadeloupe actually consists of 'two main islands'!

Are missing the Canary Islands, Balearic Islands, Madeira and the Azores.

Anyway, great quiz!

Being Danish, I thought I would get a lot by naming all our islands, but they weren't on here...

Long Island gives you two answers. One is in USA, where is the other? I googled it and found several possibilities but none that show up on the map in this quiz.

I didn't know how to spell Anglesey but somehow I remembered Ynys Mon. This is a fun quiz, it doesn't bother me that some islands are included and some aren't.

Cool one. Never noticed that the standard map depicted so many small islands while leaving out larger ones (Balearic, Svalbard...)

Svalbard and Balearic are not islands. They are island chains.
