Some of these I get- mostly because of geography. I assume Dominica shows up because of the accidental type in with Dominican Republic. But why Zimbabwe or Senegal? Are they strange names in Italian?

I'm curious as well!

Both 'Zimbabwe' and 'Senegal' are spelled in the same way in Italian. I guess Zimbabwe was a UK colony which maybe somewhat helps, and the 'bwe' is unusual spelling in Italian (W isn't part of the Italian alphabet). Thailand (Thailanda) perhaps often gets typed as 'Tailandia' and hence doesn't work (tHa doesn't exist in Italian)

Senegal is actually higher up in the Italian version! I have no idea why... I was interested in making a quiz comparing other languages, too, but it's tedious to pair up the various quizzes.
