Tired of not completing sprint quizzes despite knowing all the answers? Maybe it's time to improve your typing speed! Use the picture below to learn where you should position your fingers. To complete the quiz you must type 180 characters, corresponding approximately to 35 words per minute.
You will either have to type the letter you see or use the finger indicated in green (eg L5 = left hand pinky finger).
This quiz is for learning where to put your left hand's fingers! A, S, D and F are the home-keys!
This is a cool quiz, but saying it's equivalent to 35 words per minute is just not true. I type a little over 100 words per minute and can happily finish ThirdParty's 100WPM quiz on this site. But in this quiz you're not typing words, you're typing individual letters one at a time, each of which has no connection to the next letter (which is what makes words much quicker to type, because you see the word as a whole chunk and your fingers can easily type the whole thing quickly). Also, having to scroll down then back up again (the quiz is too vertically long for the screen) slows down the process, as does the coded second column. I got about three quarters of the way through the quiz, which means I type less than 35 words per minute?
