got 14 this time. Still don't know what a Dugong is. Never heard of the Mountain of Smoke. The clue about the economy is vague and hard to guess. And I think May Day ought to be accepted for Labor Day.

Bahrain has been at least two-third of its history under rule of Persian empire and Iranian rule. It indeed got independence from Persia in a questionable plebiscite (after some prominent and generally Persian speaking merchants were banned to return by UK authorities weeks before) imposed by UK to Pahlavi in return of sovereignty over three island of Abu musa, and greater and lesser tunbs. i think the answer to the second question is wrong! because Iran never recognized UK sovereignty over them and never lost them to.

speaking about Bahrain and not mentioning Arab spring?!!! pearl (lolo in arabic) roundabout and its picturesque pearl statute was something comparable to tahrir and taksim squares in Egypt and Turkey. Additionally, Bahrain was formerly known for its pearl and just now, it has a considerable catch. Religion cleansing by expelling popular Shiite clergies and giving citizenship to foreigners (like India, Pakistan and Philippines) ought to be mentioned. I think you can include Sheikh Issa Qasim and the most prominent clergymen and citing that Bahrain (beside Iran, Iraq, Azerbaijan and Lebanon) as the only countries with majority of Shi'a Muslims. Formula 1 grand prix is another point about Bahrain. Besides Bahrain in contrary to other Persian gulf states does not depend on oil.
