Aaargh! I tried about 10 different spellings of Huron except the right one.
Maybe accept Xanti for Xanthi? (Got it anyway, just a suggestion to help out others.)

Beginning of a river - spring? stream? Maybe not stream, but a spring could be it. Also: there's no province called "Holland" in the Netherlands, just like there's no state called Carolina.

Agree with spring.
Holland is considered a region in the Netherlands though, but mainly by those who don't live there. A lot of people in the north, east and south of the Netherlands consider the region called 'de Randstad' (Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague, Utrecht and surrounding areas) to be 'Holland'

Amsterdam, Den Haag, Utrecht, Rotterdam...some of the most important cities in the Netherlands. That's why so many just call the whole blooming country "Holland". It's akin to many people thinking of New York, Los Angeles, Miami or Orlando as the entire USA.

Definition of spring: "a place where water emerges from the ground." Doesn't necessarily have anything to do with the beginning of a river. And the source of a river doesn't have to be a spring; it could be a lake (Mississippi), glacier (Ganges, Amazon), etc.
