I'd suggest changing Siena for Split (and the clue for Croatian city) to solve the ambiguity and make the test more varied.

I'd also suggest changing "spit" (least guessed answer) by "latin"

I believe it was originally only used to refer to the Alps but nowadays the meaning has bled across to mean anything to do with mountains.

I did have the same thought though, although the phrasing is vague enough that it could mean Alps by "the mountains" (would be a better clue without Alps already being an answer, if that was intentional).

Palestine isn´t an actual location since its not a recognized country, despite having the Palestinian National Authority that governs the Gaza strip -specially since its a territory in dispute- and other territories.

The prompt says "9-world location." Doesn't it seem odd that the answer isn't a location that physically exists in the world? It may be a politically unpopular to say so among some circles, but it's no more real than Sleeping Beauty's castle or Aurendelle.

It's very confusing. Instead of "9-letter world location," it might be better to label the prompt as "political aspiration" or simply "imaginary country."

Don’t be completely ridiculous. I will say that I would struggle to classify Palestine as a sovereign nation as they lack a central governance structure and do not control a large portion of their land. I honestly kind of believe the same thing about Somalia and other failed states, but people would be all up in arms over that discussion. Anyway, Palestine most certainly a place and has a historical basis in the Palestine mandate under the British Empire, and if it’s imaginary, why did 160+ countries really recognize a non-existent place?

5 points ! got all but spit and siena, Dont know them. Some where hard. I read OFF the mountains... that got me quite stuck and wasting most of the time. tried things like piste and steep... had no clue what they could mean..

I think having both "alps" and "alpine" is a bit duplicative. How about "tinsel" instead of one of them?

I love these, nice mix of brain activities!

One little thing though - "Swiss peaks" looks like it's asking for something specific to Switzerland. Austria has both a much higher percentage of the Alps in its territory and a slightly higher percentage of its territory taken up by the Alps, so the fact that Switzerland is mentioned made it seem to me like it must be something only in that country.

I don't think many other people had this problem though, good work!

I eventually finished most of it, but the 9-letter world location just kept escaping me...

Turns out it wasn't a real world location at all, but rather a place that doesn't exist and never has existed before...
