didn't know that roses had fruits... and apparently we've been lied to by the orange farmer's lobby. I like kiwis better, anyway.

I was surprised by oranges, too. They tied with lemons further down the list below cloudberry, elderberry, papaya, and strawberry. Also I was amazed to learn that liver has more vitamin C than limes, and that garlic has more than grapefruit. Australia's kakadu or billygoat plum is by far the winner in the vitamin C race with possible totals of over 5000 mg/100g versus the orange which has 50mg/100g.

Roses are in the rosaceae family which also includes apples, pears, plums, apricots, strawberries and other popular fruits.
