Ironman wasn't the first marvel movie, spiderman came out way before and a version of captain america is neary 20 years old.

I think they're referring to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Those film properties still owned by marvel, that they're bringing into a cohesive whole.

Yes, this is what I am referring to. There have been many film versions of the comics, but under the Marvel Cinematic Universe banner, Iron Man in the first film.
