Interesting quiz. Where was the Philippine capital shifted? Is 1976 when it moved from Manila to "Quezon City?" .... which is really just a part of Manila. I guess that's also what happened in Sri Lanka and I think Micronesia as well. It only really changed on paper, maybe the address on the government letterhead had to be re-typed, but it's essentially in the same place. And Guinea-Bissau? Was it something other than Bissau before? That wouldn't make a lot of sense. I guess I shouldn't be so lazy and just look this stuff up myself...

Mm let's see. I made the list seeing this link and the other quiz:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timeline_of_country_and_capital_changes

Yes, according to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capital_of_the_Philippines it moved from Quezon City to Manila in 1976. It seems that one thing is Manila (as metropolitan area), and the there's Manila (city) which belongs to the first (as Quezon City does). I think this is clear.

Next Sri Lanka, according to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sri_Lanka#Demographics, Colombo and S.. J.. Kotte are different cities, but it also says that SJ Kotte is a suburb of Colombo... Dont really know.

Micronesia. Wiki says that it moved from Kolonia to Palikir, and they are different towns, in the same island (Pohnpei) so I think this is correct.

And finally, when Guinea Bissau declared indepence in Sept 1973, it was the Republic of Guinea, and the capital in Madina do Boe. In Sept 1974 they changed the name of the country and moved the capital to Bissau.
