One Cent Coins are just a Waste of Space
If I looked in my purse right now, I would probably find about 50 pennies that I am never going to use for anything. They just sit in there and way down my bag. These pieces of metal accumulate in a pocket and will stay there until I dump them into a change jar. Sure, that change adds up, but it weighs way too much and it takes way to many of them to get anywhere financially. Also, if you did try to pay with a bunch of pennies, people get annoyed due to the sheer amount of them. Who is going to pay 200 pennies for something when they are not pulling a prank for the internet. These pieces of metal are so useless, why do we even have them?
Now can we talk about how annoying it is that everything costs anything but an easy value? You see everything sold for $15.99 or $5.97 or $27.54. Why can't we just use whole numbers for pricing, they are gonna be weird after taxes anyways so why does everyone make it do difficult. Uneven pricing is just an annoying nuisance, but then again, I complain about so much stuff that many people probably call me an annoying nuisance. So I may just be thinking too much into this. Okay, I think I am done ranting about currency.
Thank you for your cooperation,
Rosie.
I agree with everything lol
Now we have 200 reais bills, and my parents doesn’t have a single one ;-;ContemplatingRanting about themysteriesstupidities of the worldThe inflation rate in Croatia was very high. There were still 1 kuna notes being issued by banks but people didn't want them because they were all but worthless.
In the banks you could see piles of 1 and 5 kuna notes just left in the corners.
On a particularly boring day whilst waiting for a ferry in Rijeka a friend and I worked out that it was cheaper to use 1 kuna banknotes than toilet paper.
Obviously the local shops prefered to be paid in dollars or deutschmarks than in local currency.
Thankfully Croatia is nowadays a much more prosperous nation.
