Day 4

Hello Everyone! So happy to be back. I took a bit of a break to get settled into a schedule at my new school, balancing work and homework and everything else. I don't really know how frequently I will be posting now, I just it just depends on how much work I have for classes each week. Anyways, enjoy Day 2 of the Loire Valley!

Castles and Nature!

These two were definitely my favorite castles that I got to see on this trip! This first place felt like I had entered a fairytale. It was like the setting of a castle in a princess movie, and I just loved it! The gardens feel magical and the architecture is just gorgeous. The thumbnail picture of this blog is also from the beautiful Château de Chenonceau!

Next stop: Château d'Azay-le-Rideau! This Castle is also on the water and is surrounded by the most beautiful nature! I had so much fun just walking around the gardens and taking pictures of the beautiful flora. Enjoy some of my favorite photos I took in this mystical feeling place!

Dinner Time... In a Cave?

After a long day of touring castles, it was time for dinner. But we got to eat at this interesting restaurant, in a cave! It was pretty good food, except that the first dish had mushrooms on it, which I am not a fan of. They gave us like 5 or 6 servings of bread. I am not complaining, just stating fact. Very French I guess. My sister was also not satisfied with her "nut free" dessert, which was simply 2 apples that apparently "were almost frozen and tasted like the cave". I am not quite sure what that means. Enjoy the pictures of the mushrooms that they grow here... and the snails.

Snail! No, I did not get to try the escargot.
They had so many mushrooms here

Done for the day!

This was a really great day of the trip, the castles were amazing and the cave was definitely a unique experience. I am all settled into school, so I will hopefully be able to post more consistently, most likely on Fridays, just because of my schedule. I need rant ideas for Mysteries of the World, so please let me know if there is anything you want to read my endless complaints about. Have an amazing day and a great weekend!

Rosie.

Great blog again. The Loire region is one of the nicest in France, although I don't know why people rave about the food, snails ?..nope, frogs legs ? ..nope Perhaps thats an idea for a rant. different foods. Its a mystery why some nations eat what they do.
