"Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience." -

Mark Twain.

I can relate this to my life, especially with these people on JetPunk. You are trying to drag us down.

And a message from Instagate, and I quote.

"Yes there is spam, yes there was, I am willing to admit this. the RUB page looked more like this:

Spam.

This talk of spam spam spam does have some truth to it. Calling us "new users" just isn't true either.

Me and these group of people have been on Jetpunk since 2018. It gives us something to do. We have a inside joke so we thought it would be funny if we posted something. I get that we were spamming. I understand this. I only posted 2 "spam" things. You guys never said stop it was always "just trolls" or something of that nature. I never offended anyone. If I was told to stop I would of. Thank you

-Instagate

Edit: I am not calling you guys dumb.

In the Pandora's blog, it said that please tell users to stop spamming in comments, so I'm here to tell you, kindly, to stop doing so much comments. It is ok to do a few but not that much. I'm asking you to stop writing that much, not with the intention of bothering you.

Ok now you’re going way too far. Pandora's Blogs are quality, and it is evident. Second of All, he comments on people like Geophillia, and BaptisteGore, who live across the ocean from him. Those blogs are Also quality

Second of all, we( at least I) didnt post anything negative on the dean blog after you edited it. We kindly asked for more info, and when you provided it to us, we acknowledged the joke. I am aware that a couple of users might’ve said it was spam, but the asked respectfully for you to expand the blog. Once you expanded the dean blog, no one denounced it as spam.If you don't believe me, look at Austin’s dean blog.I didnt even comment on the dean blog

Now about the religious blogs.Just like you wouldn’t talk about religion in school, you shouldn’t talk about it on jetpunk. Schools use this site, and the moderators need to make sure That is an appropriate experience for the schools. So far, we havent said anything disrespectful yet(at least I think so)...

And now we come to the mysterious part; the disappearance of Instagate’s first account. We Don’t know how exactly it went away, but we do know that it wasn’t banned, as Stewart has told us so( by the way, you have repeatedly asserted it was banned, which if Stewart is right, is false.) We also know that nobody reported your blog as they have said in the comments. These people have a nice track record and are trustworthy. This part of the story is a mystery, and if we get more clarity on what happened, it would be great.

Then Austin made a blog lashing out at us saying quote “you banned him.” Unquote. We definitely didn't ban Instagate as we don't have the power to. That is where things got a little heated. We expressed that we didn’t like the blogs posted extremely often. We are aware that we were being disrespectful, but many users have already apologized for that. At least I have.

Afterwards, Austin made a Quote of the day blog only with the purpose of accusing......

To clarify, having looked into it it seems Quizmaster banned Instagate, and that is why blogs are now limited to one per day per user. It doesn't appear to be because of a massive amount of reports, since Instagate received only 3.

I said "I didn't ban him", but my assumption that this meant he wasn't banned was false, sorry for that mistake.

.. of dragging him down. We Didn’t drag your blogs Down until Austin made the blog that lashed out at us. We voiced our concerns about these short blogs being posted on an hourly basis. Again, we realized that we were disrespectful, and we apologized for it.

Stewart intervened, but he said the only thing we did wrong was talk about normal things in an overly insulting way, which again, we apologized for. He also said that it wasn’t spam, but unusual content. Like I said earlier, we didn’t write anything overly insulting until the blog that lashed out as us.

We also were acceptive of the dean blogs when you made your edits. We didn't comment anything negative after the edits.

We didn’t denounce the blogs as bad either. We only said to not post that often. We never said the content(at least me) of the blog was spam, but the frequency of the posts.

I apologize for thinking you were alts, but I only thought that because Austin’s rote “-Instagate at the end of his post”...

Now Stewart has given us clarity that QM banned Instagate, so there is nothing to lash out at us for. The blog Austin made accusing us clearly hurt our feelings, as we were accused of something we never did. We were disrespectful in our reply, and again, I apologize for that.

We weren’t prejudicing your blogs or anything that you claimed, we just asked for you to reduce the time intervals of when they are posted. I’m sorry for the Uncomfortableness we caused you.

Here is our side of the story.

I would just like to point out, this group of users are all IRL friends, and are not alts of each other. Just because they behave differently to the "norm" of JetPunk doesn't mean they should be abused. There has been little actual spam in RUB, but simply posts different to what is normally here. There is nothing wrong with that and I am ashamed at the toxicity within these blogs.

Yes, there were a couple that were spam and removed, but the majority have been fine. I would say 1 a day (per user) is the recommended maximum, but it's not something that other users should be bullying these people for.

If you have a problem with a blog, report it and let us deal with it. We may disagree with your report, but that doesn't give you the right to take matters into your own hands.

Austin and co., I'm sorry for the community's hate on you. I didn't ban instagate, and I'm not sure why people think he was banned. I hope from now things will improve.

Don't let down the community guys, please.

Actually, yes, I don’t like spam blogs, but I don’t really understand the relentlessness on some users. I didn’t go on the recent users blogs during several days and, when i « came back », I saw it. Now I understand a bit better, but the JetPunk community have the habit to be very nice and tolerant. Not sorry, but I will stop with the insults and try to be calm. But have you thought about the fact that we are the community too and that we have been let down by the sheer number of spam and bad blogs these days? When two groups are let down because of each other, common sense says that the group with more people should win. I’m not saying that Austin and his friends should be banned, just that I think they should learn that the JetPunk blog isn’t a place for people to have random fun.

As a part of the JetPunk community, I want to apologize. I saw someone doing what I didn't agree with and I took it way too far. Now or later, everyone involved is going to have to come to terms with their actions. I want to put what, in hindsight, was a childish feud, behind me, and I hope others are going to follow suit. Being someone who has enjoyed the more informational blogs of past, I was annoyed by the fact that other people were just having fun. Maybe I was taking everything too seriously, and earlier, I didn't think other people were taking JetPunk seriously enough. I'm not trying to justify anything that I did today. Everyone has their own opinions, and a group of JetPunkers, including me, didn't see eye to eye with Austin or his friends. If anyone wants to hold me accountable for mistakes that I've made during this ordeal, know that you're not alone. As a human, and a part of a community, I need to remember that everything I say and do has a consequence.

While many JetPunkers disagreed with Austin, that doesnt mean we were right. I should have felt remorse for what happened to Instagate, even if I thought what happened was the right thing to do. While I was stuck up on the "no spam" part, I ignored the "no insults". Even though I was part of the majority, that doesn't mean I was right to do what I did. I made a dumb mistake, and I think that what Stewart said was in the best interest of the community. Maybe Austin did do something wrong, but that didn't give me permission to try to gang up and bring him and his friends down. I was frustrated by what was happening and I took a stand, but instead of being sensible, I unnecessary attacked him and his friends, making assumptions that didn't need to be made. Austin, or any of your friends, if you're reading this, don't feel obligated to accept my apology. I was entitled and thought that only "intellectuals" or "serious people" could enjoy themselves on JetPunk.

Agreed. I completely ignored the no insults part of the picture. We were so busy calling it spam. However, it wasn’t spam. It was unusual content, which abides perfectly with the jetpunk rules. We looked at the fact of how often these were posted instead and immediately called it spam, even though the content wasn’t spam. The first Dean blog was spam, but then, instagate took our advice and made it better. The objective of this blog was to lash at us, hands down, but its fair considering the anxiety and uncomfortableness we put on Austin and Instagate. And instagate probably deleted his account because of this. I can’t believe I acted so pathetically.

I had a small view of who and what could be on JetPunk and what "quality" was. Quality is subjective. Fun is subjective. I was rash in thinking that doing something on JetPunk meant trying to teach something to someone. It wasn't right at the time. It still isn't. I'm sorry for making people ashamed of having fun. At the end of it all, it comes down to this: maybe Austin made a mistake, but I made a bigger one by being so abrasive. I preached inclusivity, while excluding you and your friends from my view of what JetPunk was meant to be. I talked about spamming while I gave my two cents for every opportunity I had. Maybe if I actually lost two cents every time I said something, I'd have stopped. But I didn't. Once again: I'm sorry. By trying to be the hero and bringing someone else down, I vilified myself. I contradicted myself in every way trying to justify an elitist opinion. What I did may have costed some people dignity, pride and even their accounts and love for JetPunk. I'm sorry.

I think that Instagate's story encapsulates what really happened. If Instagate deleted his account as a result of the cyberbullying, that's our fault. Going and assuming that the Quizmaster was the one that terminated his account was purely disrespectful. We assumed that we were right and we took our opinions too far. We were all convinced we were in the majority because those who concurred were the most vocal people. I still don't think that some of the things Austin did were right, but I had no right to do what I did. As for those holding out and defending what they said, I hope that you see what the effects were. Taking a step back to the whole picture is something that none of us did, and something we all should've done. If Instagate doesn't want to come back, I understand. What happened must have been traumatizing. If he does, he should know that the community has taken time to reflect on the recent events.

I'm a kind-of new user, because this account was created this year or so, but I have been using JetPunk for 2 years now. It's ok to post blogs ofc, but not that much blogs. Blogs should be consistent and with something to entertain the user who reads it, or something that happened and you want to wrote about it, like the guy that wrote about the accident in the F1. I'm not saying that new users shouldn't make blogs, but with the same frequency than the others ones.

Abusing the RUB will lead to consequences. A thing that could happen will be you will be blocked. Getting this results of nobody seeing your blogs and comments. Further abuse could cause as a ban.

Why is your blogs considered spam?

Jetpunk is not a religious site to tell stories about religious leaders. You can make religious quizzes though, as always. But making blogs is meant for informative stuff about the site and should be entertained.

Dean Hardscrabble is probably the most ridiculous thing to talk about. Refrain from talking about Monsters University in the RUB.

Instagate was treated fairly as Dean Hardscrabble is far more ridiculous and off topic then the Genisis. Do not try to free him as he was fairly banned.

There should be no spam.
