Introduction
Google Chrome is the world's most used web browser. I am sure that most people reading this have used Chrome before or are using it right now. Here are a two cool things you can do to Chrome to customize it.
#1: Themes
Take a look at my browser right now:
It's okay. And if you don't really care about color, you can leave it like this. But there are so many features that you can do. For example, you can go to the Chrome Web Store, and download a theme of your choice (note that if your account is managed by your school or your company, they may have removed the option to download some themes).
Now that we know how to add themes, I want to show you another way to do that. On the chrome homepage, we can see a pencil icon.
In the two photos above, you can see how to get to the menu from where all the photos are. What you can do now is go into any of the categories, and pick a photo. If you don't know what to chose from, you can click the "refresh daily" button and it will pick a random photo from that category every day. In the example below, I will pick a landscape, but you can always pick any one.
As you can see, customizing the Google Chrome Homepage is very simple, only requiring a few clicks.
#2: App Windows
There is a cool little feature hidden in the Chrome settings that allows you to open websites as if they are apps. Useful? Maybe. But it might be a little more organized than before if you have millions of tabs open.
I hope you have enjoyed the first of hopefully a few tutorials on how to customize software. I will catch you in the next article, and good luck finding the easter eggs!
Also, if you have any questions about this, let me know as well
1-5. The + and x signs on the tabs are flipped around
6 and 7. The reload and front arrows are swapped
8. The locked button on the bar is removed
9. The URL is jetpunk.com/create-blog/create-blog which is an impossible URL
10. The battery percentage is inflated to 10,000%
11-13. The names of the tabs at the top are different
14. The shown time is 26:59 PM
15 and 16. The date has been changed to 12/12/2121, which just so happens to be a palindrome (it reads the same front and back)
Also...how did you get here so fast? I published this 10 seconds ago!
However, there is still one thing (or, should i say, 5 things) that you are missing
Hint: Look at the tabs again :)
Another thing you are missing has to do with the date...
your tabs read like "oh hi there if you are reading this leave a comment below
Your battery is on 10000%
Your date is 100 years into the future
Your time is in 24 hour time but incorrect
On the taskbar the percentages add to more than 100%
On the tabs one JetPunk icon is flipped
Hmm...better leave some for someone else
Its as if I had swapped out the 4 apples with 4 bananas and one banana with one apple all around the picture
Hopefully I can do another easter egg hunt in the future for fun :)
Ethaboo Alert coming soon... is that a Easter Egg though?Just curious, did you have to upload to Wikimedia to use the images, or did you somehow use html (I don't know much about html use in blogs, so I'm not sure if that's possible)?
Anyway, nice blog! :)
