The Blog Games Season 1: Week 5

Ethaboo's Criteria Grading:

9/10: Formatting - The formatting was really nice, and the images we nice as well. The divider colors worked very well with each other, and I liked that there wasn't a lot of contrast included into the blog.

8/10: Grammar - This topic is probably the hardest to grade, but I did see a few small errors in the grammar for the blog.

8/10: Appeal - The appeal is pretty fine, just as there are starting to become a lot more of these blogs surrounding a country, it can get quite boring pretty quickly.

9/10: Content/Information - There is a lot of information and content included in this blog, which I like, and all of the things included are very well organized.

9/10: Creativity/Uniqueness - As these blogs are a bit new, and is the first one of this series for this week, I'll give it a decent score.

Overall, this is a very well-written and organized blog, but the facts in the blog could use a little more creativity, as they are a little bit bland to me, and are pretty basic facts. Apart from that, I liked the blog, but please don't spam a blog every single day to try to gain fame, it doesn't work. ;)

7/10: Formatting - The formatting could use a little work, it very repetitive once you get more into the blog.

8/10: Grammar - The grammar is fine, but it would be nice if you could not copy the exact words from the game so it doesn't feel like you are cheating the grammar. I know that wasn't intentionally done, but I would just like to have made a suggestion.

9/10: Appeal - Since it is a very creative blog, the appeal would be pretty high, although it was a bit confusing at first when I thought he spelled JetPunk wrong. ;)

8/10: Content/Information - The game is nice, but the more people you put, the more information there is, so it feels like the blog is just a copy of the randomized generation from the game, but as said in the Grammar section, I know it wasn't your intention.

10/10: Creativity/Uniqueness - This is very creative, and I enjoyed it very much, even though I could generate a scenario myself as well.

Overall it is a very good score, and I'm sure many other people enjoyed reading the scenarios and rooting for themselves to win.

Yes, just for this week, we are going to count all ties in the blogs, just because there were so many good blogs introduced in this week's RUB.

Ethaboo's Criteria Grading:

8/10: Formatting - The formatting is nice to me, especially when the divider colors work well with the rest of the blog, even though the text is a little wonky.

9/10: Grammar - The grammar is nice, and a lot of information from my country, education system, and much more I never knew about.

8/10: Appeal - The title is very unique, and it is a good idea.

10/10: Content/Information - There is TONS of information about my home country in this blog, and so much in fact that I actually enjoyed my country for once.

9/10: Creativity/Uniqueness - It is pretty creative and the facts and very creative as well.

Overall I enjoyed this blog and deserves a high score for impressing me about my disgusting and unappealing country.

9/10: Formatting - The diversity of the formatting was very nice for my eyes, and I liked it very much.

9/10: Grammar - The grammar when I read through the story was very unique, but worked and communicated very well with the plot of the story.

9/10: Appeal - The build up of the release of the story appealed me very much, and made me enjoy the story even more.

10/10: Content/Information - There is a lot of content and precise detail for a single small part of the story, and helped me visualize what the story felt and looked like.

9/10: Creativity/Uniqueness - This was very creative, and it is very nice to hear about the people that live in very remote places, and learn about wildlife. The only problem is that you had to sign up for it, like some other blogs have done in the past, but I liked how it let people choose their name in the story.

Overall, the build up and structure of the story was very nice, and I loved the story. I can't wait for scene 2!

9/10: Appeal - The appeal is very nice, especially since many people like music as well. I've never heard of Cantopop as well, so it is nice to learn about a new genre of music.

10/10: Content/Information - There is not only the song, but a lot of background and history about it, which is very nice, and I liked it.

10/10: Creativity/Uniqueness - Not many people make blogs about music related topics, so it is nice to learn about these things.

Overall, the history and song was good, and I enjoyed the blog a lot. If possible, I would definitely like to learn about another genre of music or another song.

A very nice explanation of the history of Cinco de Mayo. Facts were also interesting. This blog got 86/100. It would've been in the Top 5 but Planet Earth was already there. For the next Honorable Mention...

This is a very nice and thoughtful first blog. Grammar and content are both very good. 76/100

Any blogs that are labeled as "Milestone Blogs" won't be graded on the criteria as it doesn't seem correct to grade a blog just celebrating a milestone and saying a simple thank you. But, I still feel the need to welcome them to the blogging community!

Welcome to all new bloggers, and I hope you can make more great blogs in the future!

Sadly, Pandora49 most likely will be taking a break from JetPunk for a reason all three of us cannot explain here, and also makes us unable to allow us to explain why we can't explain that Pandora will be taking a break. He will be back though during the summer. We have also made a few new rules. If a person posts twice in one week, both blogs will be eligible for grading IF they are not part of the same series. If there are multiple in one series, then only the first one posted will count. Also, if several blogs tie in criteria, they will all be part of the same rank. Finally, Beckette and FacterLiger0804 will be on cooldown for Week 6.
