Since that the grammar of Baptiste interview should be drastically reduced, or some points must be taken out like you did with Cuotak by swearing. Thank my writing teacher for turning me into a nitpick for grammar.But you're right, we should be slightly more lenient on grammar because a lot of JetPunk users aren't native English speakers."York is a cathedral city, and one of the largest cities in Northern England" should be "York is a cathedral city and one of the largest cities in Northern England"
"The much larger Boston, Massachusetts is named after Boston, Lincolnshire" should be "The much larger Boston, Massachusetts, is named after Boston, Lincolnshire"
As said, some very minor mistakes. Sorry for being a nitpick though
And what's the difference in the first sentence and its proposed correct equivalent? I don't notice anything different.
And moreover, there are differences in the style of English used across countries. For example, the Oxford comma is fairly common in the US, but not in the Commonwealth countries. I hope you are aware of these regional differences.
The second one is really still correct - although placing a comma there helps to give a bit of a pause.
The third one isn't necessary either.
These three 'mistakes' shouldn't mean that I get deduced by a point on Grammar, because the rest was pretty much perfect.
