Converting Jeopardy! episodes into quizzes?

+3

Hey everyone!

I have written a program that takes reads information from the J! Archives (j-archive.com) and saves all the questions and answers in a csv file. This can easily be uploaded to Jetpunk to make a quiz based on a given episode.

For two examples of quizzes I have made using this technique, see:

Making these quizzes still takes 20-30 minutes because I have to go through all the answers and add type-ins, as well as do some formatting work and add the picture, instructions, title, etc. and check for mistakes before submitting. Therefore, I wanted to see if there was some level of interest for these quizzes before I spend a bunch of time making them. Let me know what you think in the comments - would you enjoy more quizzes like the two above? Is it worth the time to make more of them?

To be honest, 30 minutes isn't much for making quizzes. However, I tested out those links and the quizzes look great! I'll look into them more later.

The amount of time doesn't always matter. If you have a creative quiz idea and execute it well in a 'short amount of time', then I would argue the quiz is still high-quality

I very clearly remember guessing a Final Jeopardy correctly. I forgot which episode, but the answer was Whistler's Mother.

I can't watch these types of game shows, mainly because JetPunk has educated me too much on trivia. I know every easy answer to these, and yet some "geography master" dude thinks Bhutan is an island nation.

This is a fantastic idea! I'd totally play those quizzes. Good luck!
