India
From the Himalayas in the north, to the beaches in the south, India is one of the most interesting countries in the world.
The Himalayas are a mountain range separating the Tibetan Plateau from India. The Himalayas include the countries of China, Nepal, Bhutan, Pakistan and India. Mount Everest and K2 include some of the largest and most famous mountains in the Himalayas.
There are many plains in India as well. In Central and Eastern India there are plains known as the Ganga plains.
Many different rivers flow throughout India. The longest rivers in India include the Brahmaputra river, the Indus river, and the Ganges river.
The Taj Mahal in Agra, India is one of the most visited places in the world. Tourists flock to see this masterpiece. This ivory white-marble mausoleum was recently declared one of the New 7 Wonders of the World.
One of the most beautiful places in India is the beaches of Goa. This former Portuguese colony attracts tourists from all over the world. The white pristine beaches and turquoise waters is what flocks different tourists. Other gorgeous beaches include Calangute beach, Palolem beach, and Kovalam beach.
Now we can't forget about India's cities. Over 460 million of India's residences live in the city. Delhi, India's largest city is a population hub. With over 28 million residents, Delhi holds 3 UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The most spoken languages in the city are Hindi, Punjabi, and Urdu. The main religions include Hindu and Islam. In the old city, you can find Turkic and Mughali architecture. An example of this would be the Jama Masjid, India's largest mosque. Punjabi influence can be seen all over Delhi, in the clothes, cuisine, and the large number of refugees who came from other parts of India. Mughali cuisine could also be found around India's capital.
Another very popular city in India is Mumbai. Previously called Bombay, this city is home to over 20 million people. Just like Delhi, Mumbai is also home to 3 UNESCO World Heritage Sites. 7 different islands make up the bustling city. The city home to over 20 million people, is home to the most millionaires and billionaires in all of India. The "alpha city" holds Art Deco, Gothic Revival, and Indo-Saracenic architecture. Just like Delhi, the main religions include Hindu and Islam. Hindi, Marathi, and Gujarati are most spoken in Mumbai. Bollywood, a popular Indian film industry produces nearly twice the amount of movies than Hollywood does every year. The City is mainly inluenced by English and Marathi culture.
So this wraps up India. I would very much advise you to visit India sometime in the future if you haven't done already. Click on the links below to see where I got my info on India!
China
From the mountains in the west and tundras in the north to the cities in the east and the rainforests in the south, just like India, China is a vast and beautiful country.
In the western and southwestern parts of China, Tibet's tall mountains rest. Both the Himalaya mountain range and the Karakoram mountain range are in Xinjiang and Tibet. Xinjiang is China's largest division, while Tibet is China's second largest.
The Xishuangbanna rainforest is one of the largest rainforests in all of Asia. Over 5,000 different species of plants live in this vast jungle. Thousands of species of animals live here as well. This forest contains a wide variety of birds, mammals, amphibians, and reptiles. Rare animals also live here such as the Asian Elephant, the Indo-Chinese Tiger, and the Green Peacock.
China is home to many rivers. Some of these include the Yangtze river, the Yellow river, and the Mekong river. The Yangtze river is the longest river in Asia.
Grassland and tundra flourish in Central and Northern China. The Northeast China Plain is the largest grassland in China, covering at 350,000 sq km.
Due to all of these rivers and plains, crops are able to flourish in China. Wheat, Corn, Soybeans, Rice, Sugar Beets, Sunflowers, Sorghum, and flax are all planted in China's thick fertile soil.
Stretching 13,170.70 miles (21,196.18 km) in total, the Great Wall of China is the longest wall in the world. The first section of the wall was built by China's first emperor, Qin Shi Huang in 220-206 BCE. Much of the Qin section doesn't remain. The more popular section was built by the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). This is one of the New 7 Wonders of the World.
Shanghai, China's largest city has 25 million residents. The city off of the Yangtze river is home to the most residents in it's city proper. You can see many tall structures in this city such as Shanghai tower, the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, the Jin Mao Tower, and the Shanghai World Financial Center. Although many people living here don't follow a religion, Buddhism and Christianity are the most followed. The most spoken languages are Mandarin, Shanghainese, and English. The food mainly comprises of a mix of Jiangsu cuisine and Zhejiang cuisine. Wuyue and Haipai culture flood the city.
Another large city is Beijing. China's capital is home too over 21 million residence. Beijing is the second largest city in China. This "Billionaire Capital of the World" is home to the most billionaires out of any city. The Beijing Capital International Airport is the busiest airport in all of Asia. Beijing is one of the oldest cities in the world, being around for three milenia. Beijing has also been the political center of the country for over 8 centuries. Beijing is home to 91 universities which constantly rank the highest in the Asia-Pacific region. Beijing is home to 7 UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Some include the Forbidden City, Summer Palace, and the Great Wall. The main language is Mandarin. The main religion include Buddhism.

So....India or China
Based on what I told you, which one do you choose? Write down in the comments which country you think is better. I hope you like my blog! Zaijian!
USA vs Canada votes: 3 |Tied for First Place|
UK vs France votes 3 |Tied for First Place|
Malaysia vs Indonesia votes: 1 |3rd Place|
Austria vs Switzerland votes: 0 |4th Place|
Since USA vs Canada & Uk vs France are tied, I will have to choose. The next blog in the series I will be making will be the Uk vs France.
Chinese government literally wants to isolate India with what is called the "String of Pearls". Almost every neighbour of India is connected with China in one way or another. Only Bhutan has stayed loyal to India and that's why Bhutan is called India's true friend.
I think I gave enough hate to China with this post. I would like to acknowledge that we Indians love Chinese food albeit with a little Indian twist! 😉
Other than that, great blog! I would recommend watching Geography Now's videos about China and India, if you haven't already.
I'll vote for USA vs. Canada :D
Anyway, I have travelled across much of India so I would definitely love to visit our northern neighbours. I was recently watching a Chinese movie and I found a lot of similarities between the Indian and Chinese cultures. Which one would you choose between India and China?
Anyway, I vote for UK and France. 🙃
I only travel to Bahia or Pernambuco (although I love them) lol
India is the best obviously!
I vote for Malaysia and Indonesia.
Excellent blog. My vote for your next would be "UK v France". Just because I want to see what you come up with for the UK.
Looking forward to it already !
