1. Know what you are typing next
Always have a plan on what you are typing next so you can keep it in good flow. If you don't know what you plan on typing next, you might spend even just a little extra time on thinking about what to type, and minimizing that extra time is what we are trying to do here.

2. Take your first attempts
Your first attempts are always the most important. That is when you still have a good mindset and are fresh and ready to go. These tries will almost always be the best ones, and you tire the longer you keep trying it. Even if you make a mistake or two, keep going with it.

3. Relax
Don't think about it too hard. Loosen your hands and stretch your fingers. Don't try and go too fast or you will make more mistakes. Definitely don't take it too seriously, or be mad at yourself when it doesn't go perfectly. You'll get there. You don't need a perfect run for it to be good.

4. Know your type-ins
There are many shortcuts that may use to maximize speed when you type, and if you get used to them, you can cut of seconds from your time.
Several notable ones for Countries of the World are:
KSA for Saudi Arabia
DPRK for North Korea
ROK for South Korea

ROC for Taiwan
You may also make typos, in which case there are shortcuts to fix that as well:

Ctrl+A+Del will delete everything you have written
Shift+Up+Del will delete everything as well
