What's the importance of study it?

+4

“Youth is the time to study wisdom; old age is the time to practice it.”

- Jean Jacques Rosseau

"I would live to study, not study to live."

- Sir Francis Bacon

"Learning without thought is labor lost; thought without learning is perilous."

- Confucius

These three quotes are related to the value of the study. Even is pandemic times, studying is important for socializing with people and building a better world. Learning is paramount for the citizen, and this habit must be maintained for future generations. Despite all the impact it provides, there is always the question of why we need to study, be it history, chemistry or languages...

In this post, I will mention some school subjects, and explain the importance of learning them.

Mathematics

The translation of mathematics is: something you will need for a lifetime. And it's true.

Mathematics has been present in society since its beginnings, when the numbers did not yet exist and the shepherds counted their flocks using stones. In people's daily lives, mathematics is always present, in exchange for a purchase, when sharing an account with friends, when preparing homemade recipes and among other things.

It is an important subject, as it contributes to solving problems, not only on paper, but in everyday life situations. With mathematics, we learn to read the world, decipher, reflect, reason, think with logic and coherence. In addition, mathematics classes are equally relevant to other areas of knowledge and life, such as accounting, catering, commerce, chemistry, physics and social sciences, among many others. Thus, mathematics is very important, because everything around people involves mathematics, not just in school classes.

History

Yes, the second best subject in the world! And why? That's the explanation!

History is a science that studies man's life through time. It investigates what men did, thought and felt as social beings. In this sense, historical knowledge helps to understand man as a being who builds his time.

History is made by men, women, children, rich and poor; by governors and governed, by dominant and dominated, by war and peace, by intellectuals and especially by ordinary people, since the most remote times. History is present in everyday life and serves as an alert to the human condition of transforming agent of the world.

In studying history we come across what men were and did, and it helps us to understand what we can be and do. Thus, history is the science of the past and the present, but the study of the past and the understanding of the present do not happen in a perfect way, as we do not have the power to return to the past and it does not repeat itself. For this reason, the past has to be “recreated”, taking into account the changes that have occurred over time. Information collected in the past will not serve the present if it is not recreated, questioned, understood and interpreted.

The history is not limited to the simple repetition of accumulated knowledge. It should serve as a tool for raising awareness among men about the task of building a better world and a more just society.

Biology

Perhaps the main science of all...

Biology is a science that studies life in its most varied aspects, caring to understand, for example, the functioning of living organisms, the relationship of these beings with the environment and their evolution process.

As we delve into this science, we better understand what the body of living beings is like and how it works, including ours, and we also better understand how living beings interact with each other and with the environment in which they live. We are also able to perceive how changes arose over time, how they favored the survival of species and how evolutionary mechanisms still operate today.

The study of Biology is extremely important, because, when we understand the functioning of living beings, we can understand, for example, how to prevent and prevent diseases. We can also make predictions about the impact of human beings on other species on the planet and even how their action impacts their own lives.

Sociology

Social affairs are at first glance boring. I think so myself, but sociology is very important in the learning.

Sociology is an extremely important science for the world we are experiencing, because in addition to seeking to understand the causes and consequences of what happens in the world, it seeks to review and even anticipate events for the following generations, helping us to understand and seek solutions that solve the evils we are seeing and experiencing today (crime, education, poverty, inequality, among others).

The man increasingly seeks recognition, whether at work or in a social group, causing individuals to end up distancing themselves from their most important social contacts, this being the family, precursor of traditions, and this distancing leads in most cases , in intolerances with respect to social differences, whether religious or political, for example, of an individual or group. All of this helps to further increase current problems.

Sociology in the world helps man to become aware and brings us ideas to find our role in society. It helps man to collaborate for a more tolerant life in society, with social and intellectual transformations that aim to diminish the evils of society, because they already know their role and their place in the world.

Geography

GiovanniGraphy!!! Best subject ever! It is no wonder that most of our JetPunk quizzes are geographic. Here is the explanation of why geography is incredible and paramount!

The importance of Geography is related to the need to know the geographic space and it can be understood as the space produced by man and that is constantly changing over time. We can say, then, that the geographical space has a historical character and, therefore, it is capable of telling the history and the characteristics of human action on the environment in which it lives.

However, it is not only in the knowledge about the names of countries, their capitals, population data, etc., but also in explaining the dynamics of actions in space, which do not disconnect from time. For example: the dynamics of the transformation of spaces in the city, the logic of agrarian production, the distribution of social movements, the superficial geomorphological structure of the Earth, among others.

Geography has as main objective to understand the dynamics of space to assist in the planning of man's actions on it. Understanding landforms, climatic phenomena, social compositions, human habits in different places are essential for the maintenance of life in society. Studying geographic space can be useful to unravel and understand socio-spatial problems.

Writing

At least here in Brazil, in a test known as ENEM, which makes people with the highest score go to college, the writing essay is worth 1000 points. You can already see how important writing is.

Whoever writes, concentrates, analyzes, reasons, criticizes, presents his own solutions. Whoever writes gives value to himself, learns to see in perspective (depth), discovers the relative merit of things and exposes the mistakes and sophisms of those who intend to deceive us. All of these aspects are checked in a job interview.

Writing is the most appropriate means for the formation of our personality, as free, independent and intimately realized beings, that is why the importance of writing in a selective for obtaining a vacancy is so important. To write is to fight against those who impose ready-made ideas on us, phrases made to replace our thoughts and our language. Think about it. Let us dedicate ourselves to the editorial staff, mainly for these reasons.

Writing makes us meditate on life, on humanity and on ourselves. It leads us to be more human, to love our fellow man, to respect him, to communicate with him often. And, above all, how rewarding it will be to conquer writing! Master the resources of the word, the phrase, the varied and rich speech. See our ideas, note well, our ideas, clearly expressed, in the service of culture, of unity among men, of valuing what is true and honest, of what is beautiful and pure.

Literature

For me, literature is a tiring subject... but if it didn't matter at all, we wouldn't be studying it. Let's see why studying literature.

Literature is the art of the word. We can say that literature, as well as the language it uses, is an instrument of communication and social interaction, it fulfills the role of transmitting the knowledge and culture of a community.

Literature is linked to the society in which it originates, as well as all types of art, as the artist cannot be indifferent to reality.

Literary work is the result of dynamic relations between writer, public and society, because through his works the artist conveys his feelings and ideas of the world, leading his reader to reflection and even to a change of position in the face of reality, so literature helps in the process of social transformation.

Physics

And now we will see the importance of physics, which has shaped great men and geniuses in our history.

We can say that Physics is a natural science that studies the interactions between matter and energy. It studies the most fundamental phenomena of nature, from the most elementary to the most complex. Through the laws of physics we can understand the simple fact of walking and even the movement of galaxies.

Physics seeks to understand the nature that surrounds us, and it is not just a matter of curiosity, but a question of survival. Understanding natural phenomena, knowing the cycles of these phenomena and who knows how to predict them is vital!

This is the search, both in Physics and in other sciences. And as this understanding was achieved, this knowledge associated with different techniques gave rise to all the technology that we have today and that has improved our lives so much.

Native/Foreign Languages

Why study a language you already understand!? Why (in my case) do I have to study Portuguese!? I already know "olá!", "tudo bem?" "desculpe!", "com licença?", "obrigado!" and "tchau!"! Why study your own language!? And why you need to study other language that isn't yours!? Well, we'll see that now.

Oral communication is the basis of relationships with other people. Therefore, it is essential for life in society. Speaking clearly and objectively allows you to elaborate arguments and express opinions. Reading is necessary for most everyday activities. Much of the information used in daily life is transmitted through writing. Therefore, knowing how to form words becomes indispensable. Writing is required at school, college entrance exams and in the job market. This competence is used to leave a ticket, send an e-mail and develop a project for the school. Understanding what is behind the linguistic codes is essential to acquire cultural repertoire. Reflecting on the content of verbal and non-verbal texts is very important to understand books, plays, music, films and paintings.

The command of the language contributes to a good performance in all subjects. Knowing how to read, write and interpret leads to good results, including in matters involving numbers. By improving your knowledge of the mother tongue, you acquire the ability to question the world around you. Thus, it will be easier to express opinions on complex subjects. The reading skill broadens the imagination. By visiting new universes through words, you improve logical thinking, creativity and the potential for innovation. To obtain a good position in the job market, it is essential to have fluency in reading, writing and oral communication.

Art

I hate art. It demonstrates my lack of ability, and my stupidity without size to draw, but if art says that there is no ugly or beautiful drawing... it does not matter to me. So WHY STUDY ART, LORD OF GLORY!?

Art is a way for human beings to express their emotions, their history and their culture through some aesthetic values, such as beauty, harmony, balance. Art can be represented in various ways, especially in music, sculpture, painting, cinema, dance, among others.

After its appearance, thousands of years ago, art has evolved and occupies an extremely important space in society, given that some representations of art are indispensable for many people today, such as, for example, music, which is capable of us. make us happy when we are sad. It works as a distraction from certain problems, a way of expressing what we feel to different groups in society.

Physical Education (P.E.)

The importance is to release an odorless liquid in the body produced by the sweat glands that are located in the dermis (translating: SWEAT)!? LOL! It's more than that!

Physical education classes are important in all segments, as it promotes the student's integral development, healthy life, socialization, team spirit and the practice of sport. Students participate in the most varied bodily experiences to which they are challenged.

Believing that physical activity becomes part of personal behavior throughout life, means understanding that this is only possible through satisfactory experiences with physical exercises and games. Students should be challenged and exercised to understand that they can only win when they are having fun. Victory cannot be the condition for fun. If so, the activities are not ludic. The fun must be present in the game and not at the end.

School Physical Education's highlights students cognitive and emotional freedom for learning. This is an important factor so that there is a convivial environment where respect and tolerance must be worked. Knowing how to relate in a group presupposes an evolutionary control of behaviors, values, norms and attitudes.

Music

A kind of art. Music learns me to feel ashamed singing in public!? Certainly not, and it has a good explanation for the study of music.

Music is recognized by many researchers as a modality that develops the human mind, promotes balance, providing a pleasant state of well-being, facilitating concentration and the development of reasoning, especially in reflective issues focused on thinking.

Music contains three elements: words, harmony and rhythm. Hence the importance of good music.

Music penetrates directly into our nervous centers and mentally coordinates, quickly and immediately, the division of time and space, in addition to inspiring a taste for virtues.

Philosophy

Makes me become a clueless freak who talks nonsense here and there? I think also, but no!

Philosophy is very important to us, although many are unaware of its importance. It helps us to unravel the mysteries and stories of our existence, and to understand why and the fundamental reason for everything that exists.

Philosophy is the constant search for knowledge, for truth, it is a look inside ourselves, it is always looking for answers, it is a philosophical act of man to reflect, criticize and argue the little knowledge he has before this imperfect world and wonderful that we live.

And it challenges us to awaken our critical spirit, so that we can have a clear vision before the facts of life and the extremes of human nature such as life and death.

Computing

We basically learn it in JetPunk, using HTML and CSS, but why the computing is important?

What many do not imagine is that when studying computing you are accompanying something increasingly present in our day-to-day. We need it for everything: at school, at home, and especially at work. With the passage of time new technologies are emerging, more computers are being manufactured. Today, 9 out of 10 people have a computer or cell phone at home. Although many still ignore the importance of studying computing.

Computing is considered one of the most essential tools of everyday life, being used in several ways. Like online shopping, financial transfers, chat, phone calls, social networking, file storage and more. With the advent of technology everything requires a basic knowledge of computers.

Studying computing is not just knowing how to use the Office Package (Word, Excel...), knowing how to turn on a computer or access the internet. Studying computing goes further, because the more qualified you are in the field, the more opportunities arise for you in the job market. With the arrival of technology, computer knowledge is the easiest and fastest way to globalize.

Conclusion:

Studies are important, as it is with them that we acquire knowledge, culture, and set goals in life.

Through studies we live with different people and different education than we receive at home. Families whose base has better schooling tend to plan their future, do family planning, career planning, plan to buy a house, car etc...

In classrooms we expand our world through books and knowledge acquired, through teachers, we travel without leaving the place with the readings and the internet, we also travel in our imagination.

First world countries have as a principle a good education, to maintain their prosperous future and thus maintain and even increase their material and cultural wealth.

A country is built with school education and for that we have to preserve and invest in our greatest wealth, which is the schools.

I love so much Geography, that I created a joke in my school using my name, and “Geography”, called GiovanniGraphy.

And about the Italian, I love to hear Italian musics. This one is my favorite (not rickrolling!).

None of these comments were anywhere near deserving for this blog. "Great blog" or "Amazing and interesting" just doesn't cut it. The truth is we are all incredibly privileged to have this blogger on JetPunk- an eleven year old Portuguese speaker who speaks better, more advanced, high level, words that I cannot fathom. MG17 is brilliant- he takes unique, nerdy, niche subjects and gives himself the task of showing us the light that hides within each one. Whether it be taxonomy, historic nuclear explosions, or countries without McDonald's, MG17 enlightens us on the deepest of thoughts. This blog- it's my favorite blog on the entire of JetPunk. This is no mediocre news article, it's a famous piece written by Aristotle himself. Here, we are given clever quotes we must reflect on, before we make a smooth transition into Mathematics, History, and Biology, three subjects that many of us (including me) often look down on. Then we go further into the chambers of thought, as we are convinced why

The reason why I slightly prefer Physics over other sciences is that in Physics, you can use math to derive an answer quickly, whereas, in other sciences, you have to repeatedly test again and again, sometimes aimlessly.

Geez, I didn't realize other schools had such specific subjects. I'm your age, and I have really simple stuff. "Social studies" used to include history and geography, now it's just history and there's no geography :( but I still enjoy both. And then there's "English Language Arts," aka reading and writing. I love to write 1000-page epics (just kidding), and writing fiction is like a religious experience for me (also kidding, but I love writing cool novels, like one I just printed recently). The rest of ELA is pretty lackluster though, and everyone else thinks so too.

Math

Science

Social Studies (History)

English Language Arts

Then there's the "specialist rotation," where we have other subjects but only briefly. This will be changed next year:

Physical Education

Art

Health

Music

World Language

There's also these other two subjects, but they're so stupidly idiotic that I don't want to talk about them.

Science 🧬

Portuguese 🇧🇷🇵🇹

Writing ✍🏻

Math I 🧮

Math II 🧮

English 🇺🇸🇬🇧

P. E. ⚽️🏀🏐🎾

Technology and Experiences 💻

Sociology 🤝

Literature 📖

Art 🎨🖼

I also have a collaborative project. I used to have Music and Drama, but I don’t have them anymore. Technology and Experiences isn’t like ICT. You do experiments with LEDs, some electronic boards, conductive strips... At Sociology, are just social studies. We learn about bullying and these stuff.
