Naxi Language

The Naxi Language is found in the Chinese city of Lijiang located in Sichuan Province. The language is Sino-Tibetan like most of China's major languages and is also found in Tibet. It is also similar to Indo-European Languages like English or French and also use a unique script known as the Dongba Script

Ewe Language

The Ewe Language is found in the countries of Ghana, Togo, and Benin. The language also has its own braille system which actually interests me and is also part of the Gbe Language Family. The Ewe Language is also spoken in a small portion of Western Nigeria.

Burushaski Language

The Burushaski Language is actually a language isolate meaning its unknown which language family it originated from similar to the Korean Language. The language is founded in the Kashmir Language and is spoken by the native Burusho People of the region.

Guaraní Language

The Guarani Language is actually interesting. Its classified as one of Paraguay's official languages and also the country of Bolivia and a portion of Argentina. The language is part of the Tupian Language Family and interestingly enough. Its a widely spoken language in the Americas

Haida Language

Like Burushaski, Haida is a language isolated spoken on Prince Wales Island in Alaska and also uses the Latin script like English and Italian. The language is endangered meaning it could sadly go extinct anytime soon. But it is sure a interesting language as you dont expect a language to use a Latin script in Alaska other than English.

Conclusion

Sorry if I didnt include enough languages. Its either I forgot or plan to use the languages in later blogs like Part 6 or Part 7. But I hope you have a nice day learning new languages you've probably never heard of.

Would look a little nicer with color, centering, and maybe omitting the “language” after every heading, but still really nice to learn about these.

Nice blog. Could you explain how Naxi is similar to Indo-European languages? Also more than 100 languages have Braille systems.

I will try my best. Just got confused, cuotak told me about how its a Indo-European Language, and yes most languages have the braille system.

Not sure if I've said that. It's definitely not Indo European.

Didnt you say that Naxi is similar to English and Hindi which are both part of the Indo European Language

Naxi's similarity to Mandarin (both of these Sino-Tibetan) = English's similarity to Hindi (both of these are Indo-European)

I probably had a misunderstanding of cuotaks' fact about the Naxi Language. Sorry!

Haida Gwai is a lovely island (according to my brother, anyway) and has a Haida community, obviously. I understand that the outlook of the language is somewhat optimistic because of a concerted effort to save it. Schools in the region receive government funding, as far as I have heard, to support elders teaching the language. Many indigenous Canadian languages died off as a result of residential schools, unfortunately. Anyway, this was a good read, thanks!
