A new World Map for quizzes?

I am thinking of trying to design a new World Map.
Ideally it should have a few more things compared to the current standard one:
- main rivers
- more lakes
- more islands
- different shades for mountains/deserts/glaciers
- antarctica

I tried a bit to get data/convert etc and I get the impression it's something I am not capable of doing. Since it would be a map that would be a good starting point for making all sorts of quizzes I thought I would share this idea here in case someone has ideas or suggestions about it!

Is this project still in consideration? I was using a custom world map myself to add in the Balearic Islands and fix the borders of certain landlocked countries, prior to the new maps which fixed all those. The new maps still have room for additions, though.

I want to see French Polynesia on the map as well

French Polynesia wouldn't need to be on the map. It's a microcountry, so it would be in light blue water. However, that would be confusing, since it's not independent.
