New Features - Scheduling Quizzes, Collaborating and Editor Changes

+1

With yet more new features being added, today we get some good stuff added.

Scheduling Quizzes

In the submission step of quiz creation, you can now schedule quizzes to be released in the future. The times shown are your local time, and quizzes can be scheduled for release any hour within the next 7 days.

Once quizzes are scheduled, you can cancel the scheduling by clicking cancel or by making changes to the quiz. If you make changes to your quiz you will need to reschedule it.

Collaboration

Users can now share their unsubmitted quizzes with up to 3 other users for collaboration. This means the others can edit the quiz as well as play the preview version. Note that only 1 user can edit the quiz at a time, so other users need to close their versions before you can edit it.

For more information on how these work, check out How Collaborative Quizzes Work

Editor Changes

There have been some additional editor changes, including the ability to reorder columns and change the answer column (for text quizzes only). These can be done under "Advanced" in Step 2 and clicking "Manage Columns".

On top of this there are some overall site improvements, including translating some more parts to German and French, as well as showing your best score in user series now.

We hope you're enjoying the new features!

I like the new feature that lets you know if you've previously attempted the quiz before or not, just below the rating.

Also not sure if it is new or I didn't notice it before, but the ability to filter quizzes on your stats page by type/tag is very nice too.

Ah yes! The score below was added last week, and the stats page filters a few weeks ago. All new and all seem to be well-liked by the community so far :)

Sometimes it shows me my previous best time, and sometimes my previous best score. Would I be correct in guessing that it defaults to your best time if you have previously scored correctly on all questions, whereas you see your best score otherwise?

That is pretty much correct, by default it shows your best score, but then switches to your best time if your best score is 100%.

Just to clarify, what I meant was when I schedule a quiz, it says it is scheduled in local time, how does it know what my local time is?

It goes by the system time on your device. If you change that it'll change the time displayed. This meaningless information is provided to all websites when you visit them.

The guy who wrote this blog, the guy who updated the editor, the guy who put simple SVG's into the editor, the guy in 6th place for quizmaker rank, the list goes on and on.
