Frank Marugg, a concert violinist, invented the first tire clamp in Denver in 1944. Since then, Denver cops and the Department of Motor Vehicles have used his invention to compel drivers to pay outstanding tickets. The boot was officially implemented on January 5, 1955, by the Denver police department. The city collected over $18,000 in unpaid parking tickets in its first twenty-five days.

While Lakewood is known for its tree-lined streets and homes, the city also has a paleontology and Jurassic-themed hidden gem. The Dinosaur Hotel (once a franchise hotel) is decorated and themed around dinosaurs. This hotel is decorated with dinosaur statues, bones, and other historical ornaments and designs and is located on South Vance Street. The Dinosaur Hotel pays homage to Lakewood's long history of dinosaur discovery. In fact, paleontologists discovered the first Stegosaurus and Apatosaurus bones in Lakewood many years ago.

The Denver International Airport is the largest airport in the United States by total land area (33,531 acres). The airport also boasts the country's longest commercial runway. The airport is the world's 18th busiest airport and the sixth busiest in the United States. In April 2018, more than 5 million passengers passed through the airport.

The Connecticut River, which runs through the state and is a major river in the United States, is named after it. The Connecticut River runs through the heart of the state, all the way to the Long Island Sound in the south. The term "Connecticut" comes from the Native American word quinetucket, which means "along the long, tidal river." New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, and Connecticut are all located along the Connecticut River.

Connecticut used to be known as the "National Arsenal." The nickname comes from the fact that the state was home to many firearms manufacturers during the 19th and 20th centuries, including Volcanic Repeating Arms Company, Sturm Ruger, Joslyn Firearms, and Winchester Repeating Arms Company.

Because "The Fundamental Orders of Connecticut," first adopted in 1639, served as a model for the United States Constitution, Connecticut is known as the "Constitution State." The orders were the first laws to recognize people as the true foundation of government authority, and they gave voters the power to elect government officials.

Edwin Land is a Connecticut native. Except for Thomas Edison, this genius is credited with patenting 535 inventions (1,097 American patents). Bob Marley, the godfather of reggae music, once lived in Wilmington, Delaware. He and his mother lived at 2313 N Tatnall for 12 years after moving to the city in 1965. During this time, Bob worked as a lab assistant/forklift driver for DuPont and Chrysler, respectively. Until 1976, Bob's mother owned and operated the Roots Music Store on Market Street.

The first time the US flag was flown in battle was in Newark. During the Revolutionary War, this occurred during the Battle of Cooch's Bridge, which pitted British and American forces against each other. The Revolutionaries were defeated and retreated back to Wilmington after being outmanned 4-to-1. Nonetheless, the knowledge gained during the crash came in handy later on.

The palm tree benefits from Florida's humid climate by soaking up moisture from the oak tree's bark and continuing to grow. If you ever find yourself in Tampa Bay, put on your walking shoes and take a stroll through downtown Tampa. With a length of 4.5 miles, Bayshore Boulevard is the world's longest continuous sidewalk. There are many cyclists, joggers, and tourists to be seen. The beautiful bay is on your side, and if you're lucky, you might see dolphins and manatees!

While artificial waterways and canals in Venice have gotten all the attention, there's a much bigger fish right here in the United States. Cape Coral is a beautiful Gulf Coast gem that is home to the exciting Caloosahatchee River! However, it isn't just the river that makes it spectacular. The Caloosahatchee River flows through Cape Coral, which is located on Florida's beautiful Gulf Coast. That's not all, though. Cape Coral is home to over 400 miles of waterways, making it one of the largest interconnected waterway hubs in the world!

Alexzandria Wolliston, a Florida woman, gave birth to two sets of twins in less than a year. She gave birth to the first set of twin boys in March of this year, and the second set in December. Her family told her after the birth of her twins that twins ran in both sides of her family. Her maternal and paternal grandmothers both gave birth to twins who died shortly after birth.

For sorghum fans, Blairsville is the place to visit. It is Georgia's only region that grows sorghum, which is used to make syrup, due to its soil conditions and climate. Try to visit this location in October, when the Blairsville Sorghum Festival takes place.

Sandy Springs: known as the "investor's eye-catcher," Sandy Springs has the highest concentration of Fortune 500 and Fortune 1000 companies per capita of any city in the country. UPS, First Data, Veritiv, Newell Rubbermaid, Centene and Axiall, Mercedes Benz, Cox Communications, and CBS are just a few of the global leaders based here.

The Georgia Aquarium is one of the world's largest aquariums, located in downtown Atlanta. More than a hundred thousand animals are housed in the aquarium, which holds more than 10 million US gallons of marine and salt water. Whale sharks, Beluga whales, California sea lions, African penguins, and other species can be found in the aquarium.

Intriguingly, Coca-Cola, the world's most popular beverage, was also created in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. John Pemberton created "Coca-Cola" in 1886, in one of history's most famous scripts.
