World War 6.4

Introduction

Before I go any further, I should mention that all the following events are 100% true, no matter how bizarre they seem. This is something stranger than fiction, the passion exhibited by the zealous students towards their cause. I assure you, the abnormality of this tale is impossible to concoct.

The Beginning

The COVID-19 pandemic had left the world scarred and ravaged, and that included a normal middle school in a Massachusetts suburban town. In fact, for nearly the entirety of the second half of the 2019-20 academic semester, all classes had been taken digitally on a platform known as Google Classroom. That's not to say it was helpful, because due to the lack of seeing our professors, it was an incredibly hard time to even fathom could exist. That being said, we made it through the year and after summer vacation turned to the academy to oversee their decision. As it turned out, things were very different. Half of the week would be virtual classes, over a sometimes unreliable site known as Zoom, and during the other half we would be educated inside the school building. Sixth grade was still a novelty to us but we quickly got used to it and grew comfortable around our fellow scholars. But all was not peaceful ... and it happened on behalf of one extremely eccentric student who always wears his hood.

The scholar mentioned goes by two code names, but we will call him Cardboard for now, and you'll understand just why later on. Cardboard, in our class, the noble H6, was speaking with his questionably loyal friends from the despicable class H4, when he suddenly heard a shocking revelation! Our math professors preferred H4 over us! This was blasphemy, as we had heard them express their inclination for us. We immediately grew livid at this accusation and it took perhaps just a few hours for us to declare war on H4.

At War with H4

The war continued and it is impossible to describe how passionate we were to that noble cause. Overwhelmed with valor and pride, we decided to take action. Hence, the event took place where we transformed a bleak whiteboard neglected at the rear of our classroom into a proud display of our honorable messages. We wrote about our inevitable greatness and esteem, and against the putrid scholars of H4 who had nothing better to do than wallow in their own self-pity, their envy for a spectacular class such as H6.

But the warboard was simply not enough for I and other distinguished students, code names Brachio, Fridge, and Crepes. Inspired, I created a scientific examination of the rivalry, explaining why H4 was so puny and defenseless, and how, historically, H6 had always triumphed over its foe. Displayed as a statement of victory on the warboard, it stood there as a reminder of H6's unceasing virtue and honor. While that has since been taken down due to confidential reasons, Brachio, with help from me and potentially Fridge, wrote a remarkable declaration stating our rules and regulations for the war, how no physical harm should befall any H4 members unless otherwise stated, or how statements against H4 would become non-fraudulent propaganda for the H6 campaign, for example. It truly exhibited massive grandeur on the warboard and would for weeks to come. Finally, we thought, we had advocated for our undeniable eminence.

Benedict Arnold and the Plea for Peace

But traitors were among us, as hard as it is to believe, and the primary suspect was the previously mentioned Cardboard, who kick-started the war. Fearing the worst due to our high suspicions, we crowned him "Benedict Arnold" and proceeded to document his treacherous actions towards the campaign. In the document, we explained how he was highly suspect to trial for his betrayal, and how he could have betrayed us in the first place due to his many political connections in H4. The situation grew even tenser when a select few scholars were participating in a coveted dance activity, and when Benedict's abysmal moves got to the level where he was being deemed as cardboard by students, he claimed he was the "Chosen One" and began a civil war. Political instability, is it? Clever, cunning, but we saw right through it.

Soon, Benedict was a convicted traitor and during the break, he stood trial. Our math professors, rumored to favor H4, were gifted with reading the document, the abolition of crude insults serving as a saving grace for one of them. Benedict refused to accept the truth, however, and, disillusioned by our just accusations, sided with H4, proving once and for all that he is a treasonous renegade and no argument can be made otherwise. We rested our case towards Benedict Cardboard.

However, one of our math professors advocated a peace treaty with H4. This was unacceptable and a disgrace to us, for H4 did not deserve peace in this way, nor did Benedict, for that matter. Unbelievably, our loyal assistant Fridgie agreed with them, though he soon changed his mind. Upon thinking back on it, perhaps it is not such a terrible thing, but I still feel the fight should continue as we expose H4's dishonor.

Recent Events

As more and more people joined the campaign, they began to write more messages. However, these inscriptions sometimes became irrelevant, such as an unnecessarily extensive explanation of why H6 was the "mitochondria of Team H" and a statement of the greatness of an anonymous member. Why? I have no idea, but cease did it not. As it continued, things became more and more unbelievably foolish. After various statements about Britney Spears and Bing Bong from Inside Out, I became the disillusioned one. This was pitiful, but there was nothing I could do about it. Fortunately, it was not to last. As the academy prepared for a full in-person schedule, we knew the warboard must be eradicated for our movement to a different classroom. It pained us, but I knew it was a benefit rather than something to be ashamed of. Perhaps the warboard would never be replicated, but it truly was noble and deserves its remembrance in this documenting of the war.

I shall update this blog if any more important events occur. (They haven't)

Conclusion

I did say it was peculiar, no? Stranger than fiction, indeed. Pure poetry, I say. The incredibly odd yet vigorous dispute between H6 and H4 deserves this article about it, and I am happy that it has finally received it. Strange, yes. But, in a way, it is oddly satisfying. Perhaps it is the abnormality itself. Or maybe it is how compellingly unique the whole situation was. Whatever the case, I hope you enjoyed my rundown of this weird but true rivalry that escalated into ... well, whatever you call this.

Thank you for your time.

I guess I won't be updating this - you can guess why. Pretty much, everyone has forgotten about the whole conflict. There is no peace treaty but it is unacceptable! But what can I do? Enjoy this story WITHOUT extra additions.

A "group of people supporting the same thing" OR "A demographic grouping of people, especially those in a defined age group, or having a common characteristic."
